I'm a legal assistant/paralegal living in the Midwest with a passion for advocacy and teaching. I have 8 years of competitive speech & debate experience and post-retirement, I'm sharing those skills and tools with students all across the world! Debate opened up so many opportunities for me academically and professionally, and I've always been passionate about the art of argumentation— I like to use my voice to be politically and socially active, make a difference in my community, and encourage others to do the same! I'm also a fan of mystery novels, iced coffee, brunch dates with good friends, and talking too much. I can usually be found with my sidekick and beloved golden doodle, Moxie.
What I love about teaching is being able to share the gift of communication with students! Being somebody who used to be a shy and very anxious child, Speech & Debate opened my world to new opportunities and helped me find confidence. Nothing makes me happier than providing a safe space for students to share their ideas, be encouraged, and feel confident in their own voices!
Fun fact: I'm a huge film buff, you can usually find me watching an obscure movie and enjoying some sushi with friends
