This course is designed to help students learn how to write and deliver effective speeches. We will cover different types of speeches, how to write a speech and how to present a speech. Public speaking is the #1 fear for most people, and our goal is to help learners conquer that fear in a fun and supportive environment. In addition to the learning outcomes, our primary goal is that each learner walks away from this course with improved confidence.

Throughout the course, they will write and present Impromptu, Demonstration, Informative, Persuasive, and Extemporaneous speeches. While developing these proficiencies students will also learn performance skills, descriptive writing skills, learn how to edit, and improve their text as well as others writing.

By the completion of the course, students will be able to:

Use tone, rate and volume to improve the effectiveness of their delivery.

Improve their ability to think of reasons and examples quickly (Impromptu)
